Li River

The Li River flows through 80 km of extraordinary karst limestone scenery between Guilin and Yangshuo, passing hundreds of conical peaks whose reflections shimmer in the jade-green water — the landscape depicted on China's 20-yuan banknote. Cormorant fishermen, bamboo rafts, and water buffalo complete a scene that has inspired Chinese artists and poets for over 2,000 years.
