Torre del Tambor

Xi'an's Drum Tower, built in 1380, stands at the western edge of the city center and historically housed a great drum beaten to mark the night hours. The tower serves as the ceremonial entrance to the famous Muslim Quarter and is connected to the Bell Tower by a covered passage through the central square.
