A serene bamboo-raft river floating through karst countryside west of Yangshuo
The Yulong River (Jade Dragon River) is a 44-km tributary of the Li River flowing through the karst countryside west of Yangshuo — calmer, less touristy, and more scenic than the Li River for kayaking or bamboo rafting. The 9-km section from Gongnong Bridge to Jiuxian Village passes beneath five ancient stone bridges between limestone peaks, with water buffalo grazing on the banks.
